I Heart Fall....

Even though its suppose to be in the high 80's by the end of the week, I decorated while it was raining so it put me in the cozy decor mood....
I finally found the perfect lil' thing to put under my bell-shaped cloche.

Soft Knits for Fall

I have always been obsessed with boucle knits! Especially when its made by one of my favorite brands... Free People (http://www.freepeople.com)!
Its October 1st and we still have 80 degree days with perfectly cool evenings so I could get away with wearing an off the shoulder sweater as a dress. Since it is not necessary to layer up for warmth. I paired the dress with bare bronzed legs, nude high heels, a gold clutch (circa 1970), my grandmas long, gold-linked chain (looks super retro and simple - amazing), and my new pieces of jewelry chunked in for fun! The hidden trick of pulling off this outfit was the naked mini dress I was wearing underneath so none of the goodies were exposed: Flexees Naked Dress
I love playing dress up and like staying true to my style!

I'm officially obsessed with Southwest, Northwest, something West pieces!

The foundation of my wardrobe is based on black, grey, and lots of neutrals. I am not one for color and especially a mix of weird ones. Weird meaning colors in funky patterns...southwest! Lately, it has grown on me and I even bought some pieces for my personal wardrobe to dress up. I tell people, its so ugly and wrong its good!

When it comes to trends, especially ones that are not timeless, I will not spend big money on closet loot. one of my favorite stores to shop for the latest trends that are affordable is Forever 21. Especially since they are promoting Los Angeles based designers (Twelve by Twelve). They have really evolved and are not just cheap club clothes anymore (flashback to college).
In North County Mall, San Diego, the 3rd Largest Forever 21 in the country resides. As I wander from room to room (about 8 or so), I noticed southwest prints and was ecstatic. I told my sales person "if it is black or ugly-good southwest print pick it up!" I thought I was the only 20-something with a love for this little ugly-good trend. I ended up buying some great pieces that I can dress up with heels or my favorite over-the-knee boot.
I met my hubby for lunch on a chilly rainy day and ended up rocking this sweater paired with wide leg jeans, funky knit scarf, black tank, Rachel Roy earrings, and point-toe pumps.

To wrap up my little session, I have just been dying to start a separate blog just venting about my new obsessions =) The last month its been Southwest and my Mom is so sick of me talking about it I needed an outlet!

Love yourself, keep it positive, and do you!
XOXO, Love Lolo
